ABOUT

What's Our Mission?

It's necessary to consider simple scientific truths when it comes to the nutrition you place inside your body three times a day, the toxins you choose to actively engage with, and the toolsets you reach for in order to alleviate common stressors.  Unfortunately, you might default to unhealthy choices due to one of five reasons: stress, convenience, unhealthy habits, social influence, and/or lack of knowledge.

In my professional experience, one of the most common reasons I come across is simply lack of knowledge. This inspires me to inform you, through evidence, of the science behind health and nutrition. From the foods you eat, to the fragrances you wear, to the type of water you drink, there are many topics that should be studied in order to help you make better-informed lifestyle choices every single day.  Within my educational courses and classes, I present the science behind the “why” so that you can feel better equipped to choose the “what” for yourself.

Here's the harsh reality: our soils are stripped of vital nutrients, our waters are polluted, our environments are unnaturally sterile, our homes are filled with toxins, and our bodies are paying the ultimate price-even from the womb. Children and adults alike need baseline knowledge on how to navigate an ever-increasing polluted, stress-filled, and distracted world.  I present classes that breakdown difficult to digest topics regarding the gut microbiome, green cleaning, the toxic effects of sugar, genetically modified organisms, the problem with modern-day wheat, and much much more.

As a disclaimer, Health Redefined classes are not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Classes do not advocate for a particular type of eating lifestyle (vegan, paleo, keto, etc) or exercise regimen (yoga, cross-fit, rebounding, etc).  Instead, classes highlight studies, data, and quotes from reputable doctors in order to equip you  on how to explore certain topics more in-depth for personal usage, while working alongside a medical professional.

In the end, what you might discover through these classes and courses may surprise you.

Nutrition Educator

Jessica Stephens graduated from Princeton in 2014. During her last two years of college, she suffered through a sudden onset of severe allergies that rapidly progressed and left her only able to consume a handful of items.

After graduating from Princeton and being miraculously healed, Jessica set on a journey towards learning the mechanisms of the human body. She quickly became fascinated with the body’s self-healing abilities and the proper ways to optimally nourish it.

Jessica went on to teach Math & Science at the Middle school and High school level and began teaching after-school classes regarding food and nutrition.

When Jessica became a full-time stay-at-home mom, she became more active in individually tutoring students in high school science subjects: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. She soon realized that these subjects could be much more engaging if appropriately applied to the daily choices students made regarding their health.

Jessica launched a pilot course for a select group of personnel in 2020 to present classes on how to obtain optimum health and vitality during a pandemic. After an unanticipated response from her participants, she set on a journey towards making her content available to those eager to make better-informed daily decisions.

Jessica believes that children and adults alike need baseline knowledge on how to navigate an ever-increasing polluted, stress-filled, and distracted world.

She presents classes that breakdown difficult to digest topics regarding the gut microbiome, green cleaning, the toxic effects of sugar, genetically modified organisms, the problem with modern-day wheat, and much much more.
